Hard disk compatible to Latitude CPx J

 Greetings!

I'd like to upgrade my Latitude CPx J hard disk to a bigger size. I heard that I can't pick up any 2.5' hard disk on the market, some hard disks may not compatible with Latitude CPx J. Can anybody tell me which manufacturer's hard disk will compatible with Latitude CPx J? Please list some models if you can. Thanks a lot.

You can check out the hard drives here. Any of the 2.5 drives will fit Dell. The only thing you might have to do is update the BIOS if you get a hard drive with a large capacity.

All of the 2.5" notebook drive models manufactured in the last 2 years will work. There are 2 suppliers used by many forum folks(me,too) www.newegg.com amd www.zipzoomfly.com . The caddy on the the CPx will accept any recent 9.5mm high drive or even the older 12.5mm high drives. One caveat; do not forget to remove the IDE Adapter Plug from the 44pin interface on your old drive and install it on the new one.
